Description of cover

Accidental damage to your car

If your car's damaged in an accident or through vandalism, we'll arrange to have it fixed and guarantee the work for up to three years. If we can't fix it, we'll either pay to replace it or pay you cash up to its market value.

Loss or theft of your car

If your car's lost or stolen, we'll either pay to replace it or pay you cash up to its market value.

New car replacement

We will replace your car with a new one of the same make model and specification if your car is damaged beyond economical repair or stolen and not recovered and you bought your car from new within the past 12 months.

Car Recovery and approved repairer

If you have been in an accident and your car cannot be driven we will recover your car and take it to one of our approved repairers. We will also take you and your passengers home.

Courtesy car

When you use one of our approved repairers following damage to your car they will provide a courtesy car for the duration of any repairs.

Third-party damage or injury

We'll cover you for:

  • your legal liability for death or injury to a third party
  • your legal liability for third party property up to £20,000,000
  • any legal defence representation costs incurred with our consent in connection with a claim against your policy up to a limit of £5,000,000.

Fire damage

If your car's damaged by fire, we'll arrange to get it fixed if possible. If it's not fixable, we'll either pay to replace it or pay you cash up to its market value.

Audio equipment

We'll cover damage to or theft of audio equipment up to £500.

Third-party cover for other cars

We'll cover you to drive other people's cars, as long as you have their permission and you're over 25.

Personal belongings cover

If you are claiming for damage to or theft of your car, we'll also provide cover for up to £150 of personal belongings such as handbags or sunglasses.

Glass repair or replacement

If you have a damaged window, windscreen or sunroof we'll repair it (£10 excess) or replace it (£75 excess) and if you use one of our approved repairers the most we will pay will be the market value of your car at the time of the loss. If you use one of your own repairers the claim will be limited to £50.

European cover

We provide a comprehensive cover when you travel abroad to any of the following European countries as many times as you like in effect up to 6 months in the year in total as long as each trip is no more than 90 days:

Republic of Ireland, Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France (including Monaco), Germany, Gibraltar, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy (including San Marino and the Vatican City), Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland (including Liechtenstein).

What we don't cover

There are a few common-sense exclusions to our policy. So we won't be able to cover you for:

  • Business use, unless you tell us about it
  • Accidents when your car's being driven by someone whose name isn't on your policy
  • Anyone who doesn't have a valid driving licence
